Death: Still alive and writing beautiful poetry.

Comments: Lola Haskins is an American poet and college professor who teaches at Pacific Lutheran University. Her poetry has been published in The Atlantic, The London Review of Books, The New York Quarterly, Georgia Review, Prairie Schooner, as well as Analog Science Fiction and Fact and numerous other publications. She has also published a collection of her poetry titled Desire Lines: New and Selected Poems. Among the many honors bestowed upon Haskins are two fellowships from the National Endowment of the Arts, four fellowships from the state of Florida, and the Iowa Poetry Prize in 1992 for her poem Hunger.
