Musical Artist - Lieberman, Lori

Lori Lieberman is an American singer who first came to prominence as a recording artist in the early 1970s, and she recorded six albums in that decade. She is credited with the first recording of Killing Me Softly with His Song, although her version was overwhelmed by Roberta Flack's subsequent rendition of the song. Lieberman also recorded The Great American Melting Pot for the Schoolhouse Rock series before becoming dissatisfied with the music industry and leaving it behind by the time the 1980s rolled around.

Lieberman returned to the music industry in the early 1990s at the urging of her neighbor Joe Cali (who would later become her third husband). She went on to record eight more albums, the most recent of which was released in 2013.

Lieberman has a website named Lori Lieberman.
